A Life of Creation — Mr Nicholas Bredimus

March 4th, 2010

Raised in New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus examined the world of software, hospitality, and airlines together and energized all three areas of business. This innovative man has found work in a great many areas, from the designer home industry via the essentials of safety in the air to software programs to help with time management. And whatever he turns to, you can bet he will give every last ounce of his drive to it. Examining Nicholas Bredimus’ roots it’s easy to tell he was destined to achieve greatness. Traceable all the way into ancient history, in fact Bredimus’ lineage ties in with a great part of Europe. Following the maternal line, on the one hand, he can boast German and Scottish ancestry. His father’s family, on the other hand, comes from England and Luxembourg, where they eventually migrated from in the late nineteenth century.

After arriving in America, the line continued to persevere and climb to the top. Born one of seven children — three boys and four girls — Nicholas was blessed with a father employed as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a nurse. He would make his home in the Lone Star State for several years as well as in Reston, VA, Kansas City, MO and Scottsdale, AZ.

What did he do to capitalize on his heritage and schooling? A number of respected roles were soon his, each one as part of popular airlines. Among these was included the position of Vice President for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, and even Hughes Airwest. Most noteworthy, though, was his effort as a creative programmer working with the airline industry. He is famed for one project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance computer programs which are now used by almost all airlines. Of course, this stands as just one of his key products for the hotel sector. The booking programs he developed are on their way to becoming as commonly used as the aircraft maintenance software, while the hotel reservation routine he masterminded empowered a great number of major parts of the hotel industry to implement a pc based technology. Still innovating, he designed a networking program to automate ticket sales — another first for his resume.

While it was definitely his specialty, he frequently worked on areas not connected to software. With his own firm — Bredimus Systems — as a divisional manager with American Express, and as the inaugural president of an American Airlines division his career speaks for itself.

Having withdrawn from the positions which first gave him success, his abilities are, nevertheless, still in demand. He’s at work now at the forefront of architecture — blending the demands of luxury with the bleeding edge of technology and genuine concern for our environment. Which shows us how much dedicated drive can actually do.
